One women is cook at a white persons house. White privilege: boss is demanding and wants what she wants. Two women talking/judging mr. georges fianc for being on birth control. White women could be on birth control while it is a struggle for frieda. South africa is developed the most out of other countries. Wicomb is writing to focus on the separation. Reader feels frieda anxiety throughout the story. Build up is very slow until abortion. Abortion clinic: white doctor and black nurse. Frieda has become someone viewed as white: passed for a white woman.
