Women speak perfect english even though they are all african. Girl is making fun of european culture and amusa. Praise singer begins to put elesin in a trance. After this elesin is ready for death and to join the ancestors. Praise singer seems to be grieving for elesin before he is dead. Grieving for their friendship and the loyalty in it. All of this is real african culture. Keeps power in the culture and not in the hands of pickling"s. The prince and resident show up for the celebration/ball. Olunde: elesin"s eldest son who was studying in england returns. Olunde has adapted to european culture but still respects his own he grew up on.
