He cannot show authority or reason because he is african. She doesn"t see the difference between the war going on and suicide. Europeans only have one way of thought. Olunde tell elesin he is not his father because of his cowardly act. Elesin has failed to leave things for future generations. Simon piklings thought people were pressuring elesin to kill himself. Piklings has somewhat paid attention to the yoruba culture. Tragedy: piklings stopping elesin"s suicide and stopping the worlds fate. Elesin blames his wife although she did nothing wrong. Iyaloja: elesin took everything and gave nothing in return.
