Four months after conception you are able to determine the sex of the baby. Y chromosome(male) is able to change the sex of baby before 4 month mark. Specific time frame where you can/cannot take medication during pregnancy. Obstitrician: advises pregnant female about medication changes or lower and safer dosages. First two weeks of implantation alcohol shows up on pregnancy test. Teratogen: poisons that cause harm to baby=drugs, alcohol, and some medications. Normal bmi: women gain up to 30 pounds. Low bmi: women gain up to 40 pounds. Hiv/aids: can be passed on to developing fetus.
