Baby is i. ded, foot printed, and given vitamin shots: delivery of the placenta-connects child to mother. Midwives: support and help mothers, similar to a nurse. Anesthisa: puts mother to sleep, can affect wake/sleep patterns of baby. Lamaze: different breathing patterns to keep mother calm. Reasons: baby is too big or for medical reasons (hiv) Bikini cut: incision is below pubic hairline and doesn"t show. Birthing center: a more home like setting run by midwives and nurses.
