Animals can orient themselves using position of sun, circadian clock, position of the north star, and earth"s magnetic field: behavioral rhythms, many behaviors occur at regular intervals linked to light and dark cycle ii. Circadian rhythm - occur over course of day: diurnal - active during day, nocturnal - active during night, crepuscular - most active at dawn/dusk iii.
