Document Summary

Weak acids do not completely ionize in water. Compound is soluble if it dissolves in water and insoluble if it does not. Reactions b/w aqueous solutions of ionic compounds produce an ionic compound that is insoluble in water. If we mix 2 solutions together, no reaction (not soluble) Molecular equation= complete neutral formulas for each compound in the reaction as if they existed as molecules. Complete ionic equation= equations that describe the material"s structure when dissolved. Differs from a complete ionic equation b/c does not have spectator ions. Molecule equation= equation showing the complete neutral formula for every compound in a reaction. Complete ionic equation = chem equation showing all of the species as they are presented in solution.
