Terrorism: the use of violence and intimidation in the pursuit of political aims. Terrorism has become so commonplace that the media routinely ignores terror attacks that take many lives. Nctc serves as the primary organization in the united states government for integrating and analyzing all intelligence pertaining to counterterrorism.
