Topography can change the slope aspect of the earth runoff, soil erosion, etc. Ex. of natural disturbance: fire, wind, floods, landslides, insect outbreaks. Ex. of anthropogenic disturbance: clearing of land, deforestation, invasive insect outbreaks: changing vegetation patterns as you travel north down the nile, and the driving forces behind these.
