Tail: rhipidistian fish hetercercal tail, eusthenopteron fish diphycercal tail, ichthyotega fish ray fin tail. Acted like a fish, had gills, crawled onto riverbanks, etc. + eusth head with teeth turned inward. Orbit of eye is huge and seam on the top of head (joint) neurokinetic skull. Not solid skull, can flex it ( Center of teeth is the pulp, has dentine and enamel. Vertebrae look in book for diagram: socket vertebrae: Lepospondylic has a neural arch, a pleurocentrum and an intercentrum: rhatichomous vertebrae: Apsispondylic has a pleurocentrum, neural arch and intercentrum. Pc small than ice: stereospondylus develops from rhatich. No pc: embolomerous vertebrae: evolve from rhatich. Neural arches, pleurocentrum and intercentrum (next to each other, same size) Pc is same size as ic: basal amniotes evolve from embolo. Neural arches, pleurocentrum and intercentrum (pc is slightly bigger than ice, near wish-bone shape) Amphibian evolutionary relationships in tree/graph order, left to right, oldest to youngest.
