Frederick taylor was also significant for his four principles to increase efficiency. The gilbreaths discussed 3 steps for efficiency: Find better ways to perform each of the components. Reorganize each component so it is more efficient overall. Max weber"s 5 principles of bureaucracy to increase efficiency and effectiveness. Mary parker follet: emphasized the human side of management; importance of cross functional- collaboration of different departments across an organization. Elton mayo: contributed the hawthorne studies, rise of the human relations movement. Douglas mcgregor: known for his contribution of theory x and theory y.
