Placing fascism: widely understood as an ovation of the far right. Fascism all roads end with the strength of the state, the people are merely cogs in the larger mechanism. The response to the crisis is not politics. National unity, collective energy, purity of purpose. Abandon democratic liberties post democratic quality; fascism grows out of a failed democracy (notice mussolini and hitter were voted into power), whereas totalitarianism can crop up wherever. Fascism totalitarianism: complete top-down state control, yes, but non-state actors are allowed to function. Industrial rms, religious organizations, armed forces are not only allowed to work but are encouraged to propagate the more softer parts of fascism for public support. Ideologically driven but in the name of the state before the people. Fascism uses ideology as a tool of the state, totalitarianism ideology is the end all be all: concerted effort to show that fascism has public acceptance. Fascism can only take place in developed states.
