Lecture 1- the mind as machine: patterns of thought work regardless of what youre thinking about, aristotle. All thinking is a result of a chain reaction. Their content might be different but they are the exact same form. Fact might not even be true but the conclusion still follows the premises. Logically certain: its not even possible for the conclusion to be false if the premises is true. Ex: in algebra we make conclusions on the numbers regardless of the specific. Same thing can be done with thoughts and ideas= propositions. The same way there are rules in algebra we can make equations to how people. He might be saying how thought should work or how it might work: george boole values of the numbers x+x=2x think. We put propositions together to make new propositions. Disjunction one of them is true or both are not true (or) Negation a statement is not true (not)
