Want to study one of the predictions of the two factor theory- that the more scared an animal is, the more vigorously an animal will respond. Tested this by training the animal to avoid shock when a tone comes on and then in another box, they paired light with shock (no avoidance) Paired the tone and the light with shock, and predict that the animal will run really fast to the other side since additional fear makes animals respond more vigorously- true. Group 1: animals get trained by avoidance response, then pavlovian conditioning.
