Paterns of eaing, aitudes, and behaviors that are unhealthy. The most common eaing disorder among adolescents: basal metabolism rate goes down during adolescents. You become more eicient with the energy that you eat during adolescents. Basal metabolic rate keeps going down as you get older. Adolescents with these eaing disorders have an extremely distorted body image. Bulimia disorder where people (mostly girls) eat normally. They look like they"re eaing normally; however, once they leave the table or when they"re not in view, they take either laxaives or make themselves throw up. They make sure that the energy from the food doesn"t stay in system. It"s hard to igure out if someone"s bulimic. Can mess up with acid/base balance by making yourself throw up; can cause major damage: mostly in developed world countries.
