Purpose (funnel analogy) purpose : try to help the client. Reliability: a measure of the repeatability of a test"s scores. (has to be consistent when given the drugs) Interrater reliability- when other people give test, not to be biased: test-retest reliability : the correlation between scores on a first test and a retest. Correlation coefficient theoretically range from +1 to -1. In the real world however a reliability coefficient is always either 0 or positive. A negative reliability would mean that most people who score high the first time they take a test do worse than average the second time, which never happens. If reliability is perfect (+1), the person with the highest score on the first test also scores highest on the retest (same for second, third,etc)
