Sexual orientation- the sex you are attracted to. Children actively create schemas for masculinity and femininity. Excitement: stimulus, increase of pulse & blood pressure, blood shifts to genital area. Plateau: continues increase in pulse & breathing rates, penis becomes erect, clitoris withdraws under the clitoral hood but remains very sensitive. Orgasm: shortest phase, muscles in vaginal wall contract as do the penis, men typically experience on orgasm, women can experience several orgasms. Genetics plats a role in the determination of sexual orientation. Psychological factors: being bullied or indulged by older brothers. Gay, bisexual, lesbian adults were more likely to engage in more cross sex type behavior in childhood than heterosexuals. Voyeurism- observing an unsuspecting individual undressing or naked: risk is necessary for arousal. Exhibitionism- exposure of genitals to unsuspecting strangers: compulsive, out of control, thrill & risk are necessary for sexual arousal. Transvestic fetishism- heterosexual male w/ sexual urges involving cross- dressing.
