Victim Reports
What is the National Crime Victimization Survey?
Ask if they have been victimized by a crime
Excludes persons in military, prisons, jails, foreign visitors and homeless
In 2011, survey persons aged 12+ in:
o 80,000 households
o 143,000 persons
Because the sample represents the US population of 12+, it can project from sample to
