Document Summary

Refer to the pre-lab report on pages one through three of my laboratory notebook for the procedure to this experiment. All tables according to room temperature of 21 . Mass of beaker and 30 drops of water (g) Average mass of a single drop of water (g) Discussion: in this experiment, we learned how to measure volumes using volumetric equipment such as graduated cylinders, pipets, and burets. We also learned how precise each instrument is and how to minimize the systematic error. For part a, my volume measurements using a pipet were both accurate and precise because all three values were similar to each other, as well as close to the actual value (pipet: 25. 00ml, calculated average: 25. 11ml). In part b, the graduated cylinder values were accurate but not precise. My values (99. 560 ml, 99. 466 mlg, 99. 097 ml) were not close to one another, but all close to the actual measurement which was 100 ml.
