Allowed one note card for each point you can only have three words o: no full sentences o turn it in after speech. Impromptu: quickly determine theme, organize around that idea, negative: knowing when to stop. Extemporaneous: carefully planned and prepared, to sound spontaneous/conversational o, strong eye contact and variety of voice. Scripted: written out ahead of time and read word for word, accurate, but lacks eye contact and involvement. Memorization: fully write out speech and then learn it by heart (recall, maximizes nonverbal communication, increases involvement, potential to forget the words, could come off ass insincere. Psychological effects: public speaking anxiety, anticipatory anxiety.
