ENS 303 Lecture Notes - Lecture 22: Superior Pubic Ramus, Ischial Tuberosity, Lesser Trochanter
Document Summary
Most superficial of abdominal muscles: rectus abdominis. O: obturator foramen, inferior/superior ramus of pubis, ischial ramus. A: hip flexion, lateral rotation, flexion of trunk. Femoral triangle: inguinal ligament (superior), sartorius (lateral), adductor longus (medial) Contents: lateral to medial = nerves - artery - veins - lymph nodes . Round ligament: connects acetabulum to the head of the femur. Labrum: around acetabulum for greater stability of the head of the femur. Iliofemoral ligament: anterior, supports ilium and femur articulation - prevents hyperextension. True ribs (1-7): connects to sternum + clavicle. False ribs (8-12): connected by the same cartilage to the sternum. Floating ribs (11-12): not connected to anything except the vertebrae. Atlas c1: missing a spinous process & body. Axis c2: has odontoid process to articulate with atlas. Thoracic: large body, longer transverse process, shorter curved spinous process. Lumbar: huge wide body, short transverse process, short squat spinous process. A: trunk extension (all together), trunk flexion to same side (unilaterally)
