Document Summary

Bend to the right in the northern hemisphere. Bend to the left in the southern hemisphere. As air rises it expands and cools producing cloudy skies and rainy conditions. As air depends it compresses and warms producing clear skies and dry conditions. Low pressure goes up in the equator (hadley cell) The high pressure then goes over to the horse latitude. Once it hits the surface, it spreads out. Hadley cell - air is pushed away from the horse latitude and pushed up from the equator. Trade winds - are produced at the base of the hadley cell. Air mass letter codes c = contiental m = marine. Four air masses differ in temperature and humitidy cp air = cold and dry mp air = cold and wet ct air = hot and dry mt air = hot and wet.
