Think about some of the ethical decisions that you"ve made over the last few weeks or months. We all make choices which can be measured according to ethical principles. Therefore, we also judge actions of certain people as right or wrong. Those working in the field criminal justice system must be especially attentive to the ethical problems that may emerge in their professional lives. Let"s change the focus a bit, and look at the program from an ethical perspective. For instance, asking if something is legal isn"t exactly the same question as asking if something is right. Actors make decisions at any point of the judicial process that can be evaluated and judged as either ethical or immoral.
