POLS 121 Lecture Notes - Lecture 21: Santa Barbara City College
Document Summary
Other countries will not attack the us because of consequences. Us is relatively unprepared for attacks from small terrorist cells. Us will negotiate through 3rd parties to get hostages released, etc. Previously considered a criminal act from a political radical. Rewards for information leading to capture/killing of wanted people. Who either directly or indirectly support terrorist associations. Indirectly means they condone/cannot do anything about the existence of these groups within their borders. Can range from limited strikes to cells within states, to strikes on states themselves. Weak financial regulations within countries allow terrorist organizations to launder their money through this nation. Having other states to tighten their financial policy. Having un make so some groups can"t get funding. No matter how many resources we devote to it, we can never stop terrorism. Do not negotiate, but, re-evaluate afp, ie adams, do not search for monsters.
