Most live found: 600 ft. below to about 20,000 ft. above sea level. Range: 36,000 ft. below sea level to 30,000 ft. above sea level. Range of tolerance: looking at low and high water temperature. The middle of that range is the most optimal for the species, near the edges are somewhat tolerable, but at the very end is the range of intolerance where the species cannot live there (danger zone) Fundamental niche is the area where the species could potentially live. Climate partially responsible for dictating which species can live in an area. Axial tilt: the earth is tilted/rotates at a 23(?) degree angle which varies how much sunlight we are getting. Warmer water is on the top of the water.
