Hygiene- making is cleaner (paris did not have a sewage system back then) Safety- the expansion of boulevards so that the city is a safer place to live. Movement- making it easier to move around the city. Beauty- reconstruct the building in paris in his style. Back then, the streets were narrow and easy to get lost into. Critisim of this plan- drop you in paris and the architecture is monotonous: sewers. Old sewer system in paris did not exist at all.
