Extra credit: can do a paper on the research/handout/video: brain plasticity, when one part dies, other parts take over, differences in male and female"s brain. Neuro-genesis: the production of new neurons in the brain stops around the age of 3, born with some number of neurons and add more up until 1 yr of life. Then you have a set of neurons: rate of production in neurons through physical activities. Keep doing something, we have a constant behavior. Negative plasticity can bring about a bad behavior. Must be doing something different than the abilities acquired to active and send the neurotransmitters. If you lost it, that"s ok, you can get it back if you keep on trying! Plasticity allows the real age of the brain to be different from the physical age of the body. Tenet 1: change can occur only when the brain is in the mood.
