Historical jesus (actual life) then jesus christ (after death) Cannot write an autobiography on anyone in the bible. No one knows exactly what jesus did, what he said, who he is, when he was born/died: the new american bible contradicts itself, so no one is certain. Beginning of the 20th century: gave up the first quest for the historical jesus. Jesus was the person, the religious genius, that scholars said we should follow. But as far as being the christ of faith, that was made my the apostles, by making him the son of god, keeping him alive. The scholars was saying that was a myth. But now they are completely separate: jews focus on the torah of moses, christian focus on gospel of jesus christ, came from the same god, same bible. Christ and converted to christianity: james the brother of jesus, becomes the leader of the gentile.
