BUSI 2301 Lecture 19: doc (1)
Document Summary
I think that it is intimidating to think about one"s personal philosophy or teaching philosophy and, in fact it"s so intimidating that we steer clear of it. So, what i like to do when i work with teachers is first have them talk about what"s important. Then the next step is to compare that philosophy to the expectations for teachers, the professional standards, to make sure it"s well grounded in those standards. My philosophy of teaching really has changed over the years. My philosophy in teaching is for my students to become lifelong learners. I know that if i instill into these students that they must be successes beyond bogan high school, that they will be able to make it in the world. I think, looking at my philosophy of learning, i can really take a look at the students.
