It monitors data processed on the device, then transmits that data outside credit card data for 40 million in-store customers, as well as personal information- including names, addresses, phone numbers and email addresses for 70 million customers. Hackers also obtained encrypted pin numbers for debit cards: possible solution: separate networks. It did happen in mid of june 2014. Over 76 million households and over 7 million small businesses. No evidence that the data breach included account numbers, passwords, social security numbers or date of births. Malware that was in-detectible using anti-virus software.
