What is section leading: all undergrad section leaders. What do section leaders do: teach weekly section, help students in lair, hold igs with students. Requirements for section leaders: need to take cs 198, need to have weekly meetings, teach section, etc. Mehran and other important people were section leaders before. Will use arrow syntax almost exclusively when using structs: to get value of the variable a pointer points to, use the * symbol, one way to do this would be to dereference and then use dot notation. Need to put parentheses around pointer (*dptr). month: pointers can point to a struct or class instance as well as to a regular. Dynamic memory allocation: all variables we have seen have been local variables that we have defined inside functions. Reserve a section of memory so that it remains available to us throughout the entire program.
