S is the subject: completely interchangeable, can be anyone, no specific identity. P is the proposition: object of knowledge, completely static, forever true. This idea suggests that it is okay to say i"m not a racist, but those are the facts . Propositions become exhausted when referring to deeper things like who . Responsible for one"s knowledge of who they are. This idea considers who"s doing the knowing even in a propositional paradigm. S has: quality, position, and power: we must own up to who/where we are. The idea that nature rules is misguided: simply having a body is no more fundamental that is living under cultural ideologies/structures of meaning, culture: the context in which a human being finds themselves. Embodiment is the condition for culture itself. It is through the body that we have culture and through both the body and embodiment that we have self. In consumer societies we are sold lifestyles/self-images.
