Sec 3- members of the senate must be elected every 6 years & that each state will have 2 senators (originally chosen by state legislatures) Sec 8- defines the enumerated powers of congress. Power to tax, borrow, coin money, regulate commerce, grant patents & copyrights, establish a military & declare war.
