It was created to promote a stable world economy. Structural adjustment programs are part of the loan package that third world countries must comply to in order to receive the loans. The package requires the countries to adopt western capitalist economic ideologies. The structural adjustment programs disregard for the structural, cultural, social and technological features of the borrowing country.
