The global leadership and organizational behavior effectiveness (globe) model was developed from geert hofstede"s hofstede model of national cultures. The model relied on differences in beliefs and values across cultures to identify and analyze possible implications for businesses and draw a clear linkage between national and business cultures, (cullen & praveen, The globe model is constituted by nine cultural dimensions, seven of which are directly related to those of hofstede model of national cultures. Both models serve greatly to guide international managers on cross-cultural management, (cullen & praveen, 2014). Since multinational business management is faced with an array of complex cultural issues, it is important for international managers to understand the differences in national and business cultures. The models equip these managers with the necessary tools to analyze the various cultures in which run business. The seven globe dimensions based on the hofstede"s model are, (cullen & praveen, 2014): gender egalitarianism and assertiveness orientation (related to hofstede"s masculinity- femininity)
