Vital signs, have a baseline to compare to before and after procedures: check for site after procedure, check if it"s bleeding. Position patient on right side where liver is to keep pressure on it, decrease risk of bleeding. Pneumothorax in case they punctured something besides liver. Paracentesis: relieve pressure, must give albumin. Potential for hepatic encephalopathy: ammonia can cross blood brain barrier cause of confusion.
