By reading my classmates posts i"ve learned innumerable amounts of information about them, like their socioeconomic status, their family situations, the cultures and communities they self-identify with. By learning all of this information it allows for me to better understand the people i chose to be in a community with. It teaches me how to be empathetic towards people i wouldn"t otherwise fully understand. By sharing our experiences whether good or bad, our vulnerability brings us together. There were many things i had to take in consideration when writing these pieces. The ideas i brainstormed were often very personal and knowing that my audience would be people i would see every day i consciously made the stories i told were vulnerable but not completely revealing of who i was. The purpose of this project was that of learning about the people in our community and understanding each other in the present based on our past experiences.
