Document Summary
Depends on many different types of evidence. Refers to the inferences drawn from the assessment, not the assessment itself. Is concerned with the consequences of using the assessment. Asks how well does this assessment test what i actually want to test? . Have them spell a 25-word mix of easy and hard words. Questions have to address actual topics that were taught. Is concerned with how well the questions (content) line up with what you"ve taught. Predictive- asks how accurately do these scores predict future performance? . Concurrent- asks how accurately do these scores predict current performance on another measure? . Have to compare your assessment to one that has already been proven. How well does the test conform to a specific theory/ construct. Ask questions that line up with information you want to get. Ex: for a reading test, are you measuring ability to read words, comprehend what was read, overall reading fluency.
