Goal to devise something far more important to the future of google than its next search algorithm or app. Began analyzing performance reviews, feedback surveys, and nominations for top-manager awards. Don"t be a sissy be productive and results-oriented. If they get stuck they ask a manager. Employees wanted most was even kneeled bosses who made time for one on one meetings, helped them puzzle through problems by asking questions, and not dictating answers, and who took interest in lives and careers. You don"t need to be smarter than the people who work under you to be a manager you need to have social skills. Google is at the top of applying data driven approach to the world of hr to pick who is the managers and where people stand in a company. They don"t feel a connection to the mission of the company. Need to have managers that keep their team performing better, retained better, and happy.
