Ours will be apa manual of style. ( more on wednesday) Use purdue owl resource for writing and citing. This is not a writing intensive class. But written communication is a necessary skill, especially for upcoming assignments. The writing assignments in this class have a different purpose (e. g. , to persuade, to provide evidence, to explain, to inform/educate, to summarize and present facts). Don"t start a sentence with a numeral (e. g. , 1, 56, 67%). You can write a sentence with a number,but it has to be written out. (e. g. , one of the children had a cold) You can use one or two spaces after a period, but be consistent. Do not end sentences with prepositions, (e. g. , on, with, above, under, ) (i saw the play from above, (no).
