Anarchy in terms of international relations according to the readings is having no. Order and the lack of organization (pg 4). The realist think that anarchy is inevitable and that they believe that anarchy supports the idea of self-help. that every state needs to be able to support itself and not rely on the constant help of others. The liberals believe that an anarchy international relations is inevitable but instead of each state supporting the idea of self-help, they need to be cooperative and work together in order to maintain a healthy humane society. Anarchy is something to fear because without a powerful force to govern and watch over the states then all mass destruction will occur. Without a governing force then individual states might attempt to cause chaos. For example a state can attempt to dominate another without the overwatch of other states.
