Can have close friends and more relationships. Authoritative parents are more likely to be popular. But they show delinquent behavior earlier (alc) Could be d/t older men and slightly delinquent boys. But authoritative parents may be less effective for single parents in low. Mom"s using a little more power assertion. Not associated with aggression or antisocial behavior. Likely to smoke, drink, and use drugs. Children of rich similar to children of poor in terms of drug use, depression, and anxiety. Reported that they didn"t feel emotionally close to either parents just like the low ses children.
