Tourism comprises the activities of a persons traveling to and staying in places outside their usual environment for not more than one consecutive year for leisure, business, and other purposes. The processes, and activities, and outcomes arising from the relationships and interactions among tourists, suppliers, host governments, host communities and surrounding environments that are involved in the attracting and hosting of visitors. Same-day visitors (excursionists) are visitors who do not spend the night in a location accommodation (cruise ship passengers) Tourists are those visitors who stay in a country visited for one night. Those involved with the policy, planning and development of a tourism destination. Work with both private and public involved with tourism in a destination. Helps to develop tourism philosophy of the destination. Leads to correct policy, vision and strategy. Dmos also help in the marketing of a destination to correct visitors.
