Sense of place: the feelings and symbolism people have and attach to a place. Political fragmentation: a structure of governance where many individual municipalities each make their own political decisions, this can cause us to have dozens of government municipalities all fighting against each other, ex. Saint louis county, missouri 90 different municipalities; all different rules. Laissez faire: a noninterventionist policy or attitude. Ideal that governance should be carried out at the most localized position possible. Its easier to maintain smaller/local issues and have local police rather than using the fbi: must make sure that it is efficient at that level.
