All 4 powers pledge to protect the map of the new europe. 4 powers who had defeated napoleon: preserve the settlements reached at the congress of vienna with force if necessary, hold future conferences to discuss issues in order to maintain peace on the continent, leads to the congress system. Quintuple: 4 power + france, a symbol that france had been readmitted to the great powers, this does not replace the quadruple alliance, 1818-22 there are meetings.
