Almost all media comes from the same six sources. 6 media giants now control 90% of what we read, watch or listen to. If you control the news, you control perceived reality. Tendency to present information about crime in a way that provokes public interest and excitement, usually at the expense of accuracy. Public opinion frequently contradicts findings from crime data. Have high amount of this age = high crime. Less amount of this age= low crime.
