Nitrogen and Phosphorus sediment is entering the ecosystem.
These nutrients cause Eutrophication. The algae grows and then the species can’t keep up
with the algae. These blooms block the sun. Eventually, the species die. The bacterial
decomposition consumes oxygen. This becomes a hypoxia zone (23ppm oxygen) and
then a dead zone.
At the top of the food chain, the large bass fish need more oxygen. The worms at the
bottom require much less. So some species at the top can leave and go to another zone.

1)Temperature. More dissolved oxygen in the winter months.
In daylight, algae produce oxygen short term saturation levels of greater than 100%
3)Sunlight Algae blooms in the summer.
