Office of sustainability: develops and advocates for programs, policies and actions by government, residents, businesses, and institutions that improve the long-term environmental conditions. Develops partnerships with government, ngos, business and citizens to implement programs. Grants people to sue the city for not moving forward in a sustainable manner. 10 year sustainability plan update (3 year process) included resident and institutional engagement. Disaster preparedness plan describes the city"s approach to hazard mitigation and climate adaptation. Climate action plan is a strategic approach to reducing ghgs and promoting a lower- carbon economy. Currently outdated, but will be updated in the upcoming years. Baltimore food waste and recovery strategy sets ten major goals and 69 short, medium, and long term goals. Green network plan is a comprehensive strategy for: Improving quality of life, social equity, and connectivity. Open doors policy in times of emergency or natural disaster. Desire to play a role in grassroots community resilience.
