Look up info about suspects; type reports into computer instead of by hand. Very expensive to put them there and train officers. Map of where crime is concentrated and where crime is current. Police departments have databases of tattoos, mug shots, etc. Argument against: gun fingerprint can change over time. Harder to find and prove than people think.
