Most expensive is the area that is completely clear. Each acre of forest can store about 200 tons of carbon dioxide. Prediction that timber prices will go through the roof in the near future. When brazil economy is growing, their deforestation is growing as well. Trees are the fuel for the economy. Haiti is one of the most deforested places on earth. When replanted, they planted the same trees they use for fuel. Relationship between food production and population growth.
